Working with out of town buyers

Can you imagine buying a home when you don’t live nearby? We have worked with many buyers relocating to the Capital Region and it can be hard to buy a home when you are living somewhere else. We recommend buyers rent first to give themselves time to find the right home in the right location, but it isn’t always possible. That’s why we have a plan for ensuring out-of-town buyers find a great home.


When we meet with people moving to the area, the first thing we share is our Relocation Guide, which which showcases the Region’s various communities and neighborhoods. We ask questions to fully understand what our clients want and create automated searches so they can receive email alerts as soon as new listings hit the market. We schedule virtual showings so we can tour the property while they accompany us via FaceTime or Zoom. We provide an in-depth market analysis and local information for all properties that look promising and discuss offer strategies tailored to their goals. Once they are under contract, we attend the structural inspection on their behalf and offer advice regarding any follow up negotiations that might need to occur. We stay in constant communication with our buyer clients, their attorney and the seller’s agent to ensure the process proceeds smoothly.
